PB Landscapes of Melbourne
Project O ~ The house had been improved with a large extension, but the garden had been reclaimed by the woods behind it, and the so called patio, resembled a building site. Time for PB Landscapes to move in...

The site is backed by a large wooded area, but the trees were encroaching on the garden which had become un-loved.
Following an extension, the area immediately around the house resembled more of a building site than somewhere to sit and relax. |

| The site is cleared and the heavy machines move in to start leveling the end of the garden |
| Once completely level, the top of the garden is ready for turf and the the paving can begin around the the house. |

| The craftsmen of PB Landscapes take great pride in their work, ensuring levels are maintained. On each slab the pointing is done by hand. |
| The paving is complete, right up to the steps built using green oak wooden sleepers. They create both a boundary between the patio area and the lawn as well as a means of adding height and extra interest to the site. To the sides, raised beds are created with the same green oak to take the slope of the garden into account and to echo the form of the steps. |

| The technical details employed by PB Landscapes on all of their jobs can be seen here. Where the patio meets the steps, there is a small trough - a french drain - with drainage holes that allow water to seep away, keeping the paved area clean and dry. |
